MasterTheGuitar.net came about from the frustration a good friend and I had when looking for a decent, easy to use guitar instruction product online. After ordering a video instruction course on e-bay that was really lame and about $50 over priced (I paid $59.95 for it) I ordered another product I found online that was better but still not worth the $49.95 I paid.
I ended up getting a refund for that product and the search continued. I have been playing guitar for about 12 years and I was looking for a quality product my son could learn from on his own time. He was taking guitar lessons once a week from an instructor after school but he is a very eager student and wanted to learn faster then a once a week 30 minute lesson could provide.
I was on a mission to find a good quality guitar lesson product. With the help of my friend Rich we began the search. We looked at so many different products that we figured we might as well share the information we learned with other people and so we put up this website. Once we did that a few companies even started submitting their products to us for review! We got the products for free and it turned into a bit of a fun hobby for us. We also make a commission from the sale of these products and this helps to pay for this site. This does not however influence the reviews.
